Buildings: There is a screened 12? by 16? cedar gazebo on a crib dock on the south side of the property. There are three other buildings. All have wood siding and rolled roofing. Camp Island Fees: As Leisure Island was formerly a mining island, the island was developed as a limited corporation. Each year, there is an annual meeting and luncheon where all the families on the island gather to discuss issues as identified by the camp owners. There is an elected executive to ensure work is done and to manage the island?s financial needs. Generally the fees are between $75.00 ? $125.00 depending upon the needs of the island. The year that we had the island sprayed for tent caterpillars, the fees were higher. When there are no major expenses, the fees tend to be around $100 to cover the insurance, liability, care of the common area, the fire boat and other annual costs.
Docks: There are two docks on the south and west side of the property. The island on the west side is ?L? shaped. The front dock has an attached floating dock for boats and a ladder to assist swimmers.
